Nadia Nakai has not taken any gigs since the terrible death of AKA on February 10 in order to focus on mourning her boyfriend and start the healing process. Taking to Instagram, Bragga announced her first gig on Friday at Rockets in Bryanston.

“Hey Guys, catch me tonight @rockets.life Bryanston, tomorrow I’m out @montanatheclub and @rockets.menlyn then Sunday I’ll be @konkasoweto. You never ready, until you try. thank you for all the love and support ❤️ see you this weekend,” she wrote.

Nadia Nakai was accompanied by AKA’s father, uncle Tony Forbes who she described as the real OG Supa Mega. Taking to Instagram, Nadia Nakai shared videos of her and AKA’s dad as she introduced him to the crown at Rockets. “Let’s show him some love, actually he is the OG Supa Mega,” she said as she went on to perform ‘Dangerous.’

Prior to the gig, AKA’s mother Lynn Forbes took to Instagram and commented on Nadia Nakai’s post about her gig at Rockets. Lynn Forbes assured Nadia that AKA will be with her in spirit all the way. “Kiernan will be there with you, in spirit, every step of the way Chin up Beautiful You’ve got this and we’ve got you,” wrote Lynn Forbes.

Tony Forbes was pleased with AKA and Nadia Nakai’s romantic relationship. Uncle Tony thanked Nadia for bringing a smile to his son’s face ever since she entered his life.  “@nadianakai Nadia, from the first day that I met you I knew you were right for my boy. See that smile in his dial! Thank you loving him, he loved you truly. We love you.” Wrote Tony Forbes.
