“It has done me dirty many times,” Gigi Lamayne Blasts The Industry And S.A Celebrities

“It has done me dirty many times,” Gigi Lamayne Blasts The Industry And S.A Celebrities. Gigi Lamayne has always shared the negative impacts the industry has had on her. Despite rising as one of the most talented female rappers she recounts how disadvantaged she has been.

Recently the Fufa rapper expressed her rage concerning the activism of SA celebrities. The 25 year-old wrote it boldly how gatvol she is at how hypocritical the SA industry people can be.

At this time the pressing matter is on Police Brutality which made headlines after an incident of George Floyd from America. Social media pages of SA celebrities were flooded with sorrow and rage crying along with African Americans. From Gigi’s observation not the same energies were given off on a crime close to them. A man by the name of Collin Khosa was dragged and brutalized by South African National Defense Force to a point of death.

Collin made it to paper and social media trends but it didn’t reach as much larger audience because not every celebrity was posting about it. It is with the approach to the Collin Khosa case that Lamayne decided to burst.

Gigi referred to her own misfortunes in the times she has spent in the industry to explain why fellow celebs aren’t to be relied on.

“I’m not here for your industry. It’s done me dirty many a time. When I say public figures must speak up on #CollinsKhosa its times like this. Since we copy so much from Americans, can we at least also copy how their celebs stand with the people ?I know it’s “not paying” but wow,” she wrote.

Hip hop artists such as JayHood made a Freestyle on the matter.
