On Tuesday, the South African Police Service (SAPS) revealed the arrest of six suspects and disclosed their prior silence concerning the murder case involving Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and celebrity chef Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane. It was revealed that arrests had been carried out as early as April 2023.

The renowned rapper and his long-time friend and former manager were fatally shot outside Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban on February 10, 2023. However, a year later, the South African Police Service (SAPS) verified the apprehension of the suspects, with two of them being arrested in Eswatini.

Taking to Twitter (X), ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula commended the South African Police Service (SAPS), specifically highlighting General Mkhwanazi and Minister of Police Bheki Cele, for their commendable efforts in apprehending the perpetrators responsible for the tragic death of the prominent artist.

“Good morning South Africa ,I personally want to extend a hand of appreciation to south afrcan police service for the arrest of AKA killers ,Special thanks to the commissioner and his team in Kzn General Mkhwanazi and the Minister of police,” wrote Fikile Mbalula.

In a recent development, the police have arrested the 7th suspect police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda confirmed. “The 30-year-old suspect was arrested today (Wednesday). The arrest brings the total number of suspects arrested for the murders to seven,” he said as per News24.
