Kanye West Reveals Qualities That Made Him Fall In Love With Kim K. When the relationship between Kanye West and Kim Kardashian became public it was quickly presumed that they weren’t going to last. Ten years later the couple is going stronger and proving just how people’s opinions don’t matter.

The two met back in 2002 but could not pursue any relationship as Kim was in a relationship – and has been with a number of men in the industry until they (with West) decided to hit things off.

“I met Kanye in 2002. He would ask everyone who I was. They always said like, ‘Oh, she has a boyfriend.’ We just always kept on connecting and coming into each other’s lives,” said Kim on the latest episode of Kim’s E! True Hollywood Story.

“He invited me to Paris to his fashion show, and then that’s when it like, happened. That’s when we started our relationship.” She added, “I was like, ‘Sh*t. Why didn’t this happen sooner?’ It was just right.”

When asked about what captivated him about Kim, Kanye mentioned all the sweet things.

“Anytime I was around her or I saw her, it was a magnetic attraction to this force of energy,” he said in the clip. “She was good, pure, happy, loving, brave, courageous. Strong.”
