Gigi Lamayne recently took to twitter to talk about the difficulties she has faced in the SA hip-hop industry. The Fxck Everybody hit maker spoke out saying that she has had to fight since she joined this industry.

Gigi mentioned that she was told that she’s too dark and ugly to make it in the industry and that to avoid sabotage in the industry she’d be pursue music in another country.

Nadia Nakai took time to send Gigi a message of strength and support, mentioning that she should keep doing her! She continued to say that she will remain in the conversation that matters most, the fans.

The Practice rapper tweeted, “f*ck em all sis, you’ve never needed the pats on the backs! Do you! You’ve always and will remain in the conversation that matters… the fans! p.s u don’t need me to say this, BUT YOU KNOW YOU THAT BITCH!

Nadia and Gigi are two of the most well known rappers in South Africa and always speak out against any form of discrimination they face in the industry.

The two powerhouse rappers are set to release a collaboration soon but have not announced a release date. Nadia and Gigi have worked together before on previous projects, specifically on Miss Pru’s hit Isaga Lam.

The two rappers also featured on Stogie T’s Hello Kitty remix in 2014.

They have both began 2021 on a good note already with Gigi Lamayne launching her podcast FU Radio, and Nadia Nakai bagging a TV presenting gig on Channel O’s new show Gen Z.
